Tis the Season!

HI friends! Welcome back to the BRES PE blog page.

I wanted to challenge each and every one of you to make sure you get outside and exercise. Tis the season to EAT! And Eat we will I'm sure :) However, to help us counteract all those extra calories we are consuming, make sure you get some exercise too! Take a walk with your family, ride your bike, play a football game in your back yard with friends and family. These are just a couple of ways that we can make sure we stay healthy and active during the Holidays.

So there is your challenge. Oh and remember any exercise you do can count towards your fitness fun miles. Just make sure to fill out a coupon :)

Congratulations to Ms. Bychurch, Mrs. Penny, and Mrs Camerino's classes for earning the "Shoe" for the month of July. Earning the "shoe" means that they earned the most miles for this month.

Fitness Fun for Grades 3-5

"Fitness Fun" is an optional program for grades 3-5 that is being started to promote fun, healthy young bodies, and a lifetime full of fitness. It’s easy too! For every thirty minutes of activity your child is active in outside of school, he or she will earn one mile for his or her class team. Rewards for earning miles for each class will be, classroom rewards, getting physically fit, getting healthy, and a shoe charm for every 25 miles your child completes. All that is asked of you is that you, the parents, complete the Fitness Fun Coupon and sign it. A "Fitness Fun Coupon" sheet is attached."Fitness Fun" is only possible if we do this together. I sincerely believe this will benefit your children. Let’s have FUN, and get FIT. Together we can make our children and maybe ourselves healthier and stronger for a FUN, FIT & HEALTHY LIFE.Thank you for your support in this new program!

1. Listen and follow directions the 1st time given
2. Keep all body parts to yourself
3. Respect others and equipment
4. Be a good sport
5. Give your best effort

Consequences of not following directions:
1. Verbal Warning
2. Sit out and sign the behavior book (3 or more times in the behavior book is a 2 on report cards)
3. Front office visit
4. Phone Call home
